TEHRAN, Oct. 22 (MNA) – An Iranian knowledge-based company won the Grand Prize of the Asian Science Park Association 2016 that was held in India.

An Iranian knowledge-based company established in 2008 in Isfahan Science and Technology Town managed to win the Grand Prize of the ASPA Award 2016 for presenting reactive extrusion technology and polymer nanocomposites.

The grand prize is awarded to companies in which applicable ideas and numerous technical sciences have reached the commercialization phase and have a significant role in the development of technology in Asia.

Asian Science Park Association (ASPA), is an international non-government organization established in Japan for accomplishing joint development in the fields of scientific technology, industry and economy in the Asian region. ASPA comprises of 519 member-institutions (Science & Technology Parks- STPs, research organizations, business incubation centers, universities and academic institutions) from more than 10 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

The 20th ASPA conference hosted by Indian city of Hyderabad was held on 19-22 October, 2016, on the theme of innovation sharing and collaborative opportunities in S&T for advancement in Asia and Asia Pacific. 

Nine companies situated in Isfahan Science and Technology Town had managed to win the grand prize of the previous editions of ASPA Award.
