TEHRAN, Oct. 02 (MNA) – Iran’s Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli will visit Republic of Azerbaijan on Monday, Deputy Min. for International Affairs, Ministry of Interior, said Sunday.

Babak Dinparast, Deputy Minister for International Affairs, Ministry of Interior, said Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli will meet with senior officials of Azerbaijan for talks on boosting bilateral relations and cooperation on various fields.

He maintained that the Interior minister will stay in Baku for two days, and expressed hope that the successful conclusion of the visit will be a turning point in the two countries’ cooperation.

Iran has recently held a Project Exhibition in Baku Expo Center of Azerbaijan and offered the country a proposal under which Baku Expo Center would be able to use the permanent fairground of Tehran for free in exchange of the same offer to Iran International Exhibitions Company for holding fairs in Baku.

According to President of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) Rufat Mammadov, trade between the two countries increases on a yearly basis, and around 400 Iranian companies currently work in Azerbaijan.
