“The two countries can expand bilateral relations in line with their national interests,” Mohsen Rezaei said in an interview with Al-Kout TV of Kuwait broadcast on Wednesday, “Iran has always voiced desire for friendly ties with Kuwait.”
The Iranian official made the remark after listing the potentials to expand political interactions between Iran and Kuwait. He highlighted that the Islamic Republic of Iran has a policy of good relations with neighboring countries and Kuwait is one of the neighbors of Iran.
“Iran supports Kuwait’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity,” asserted the Leader’s representative to Iran's Expediency Council, “reciprocal interaction with regional countries has always been sought by Iran.”
He maintained that Iran respects and necessitates the political establishment in Kuwait and rejects interference in the internal affairs of other countries. He ascertained that acts like Saddam’s invasion to Kuwait have always been unacceptable for Iran.
