TEHRAN, Sep. 19 (MNA) – Iran's TAVANA Educational Nano Labs organized three educational workshops for school students and a four-day educational course in a nanotechnology company in China this summer, INIC said Mon.

According to Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC), The workshops aimed to develop international activities and export equipment and educational packages of Nano Labs.

TAVANA Educational Nano Labs organized three educational workshops this summer for 100 Chinese students to develop educational activities of Iran and China and export nanotechnology educational packs.

Rugoa Middle School hosted the first workshop with the participation of 40 students at the age of 15, while Andy Primary School and Energy Exhibition in Nanjing hosted the second and third workshops with the participation of 40 students at the age of 10.

The workshops provided a summary of TAVANA educational activities and basic and primary concepts of nanotechnology at student level. The concept and method to produce nanoparticles were taught to students in a theoretical course with the participation of students.

Primary and simple concepts of nanotechnology were taught to students in the workshops by designing five educational stations and by using specific tools and equipment prepared by TAVANA Network. Students participated in all stations and practically learned the simple concepts.

Students were required to carry out teamwork in the workshops. Teachers are in charge of guiding the students, and students carry out the activities.

TAVANA had earlier organized two educational workshops for students and teachers in China and one workshop for students in Turkey.
