TEHRAN, Sep. 16 (MNA) – On the sidelines of the 17th summit of NAM in Venezuela, officials of international arena meet with Iranian FM Zarif.

Iran’s Foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif who is visiting Venezuelan island of Margarita to attend the foreign ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), met, on the sidelines, with a couple of international figures including the Syrian envoy to the United Nations, North Korean Foreign Minister and Egypt's former Minister of Family and Population on Thursday.

During the meeting between Iran’s Zarif and Syria’s Bashar Jaafari, the Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the UN, the two diplomats conferred on the latest regional developments, Syrian crisis, and the ways to improve bilateral ties.

In another meeting, with Ri Yong-ho, the Foreign Minister of North Korea, Zarif discussed the issues to be negotiated in the current meetings of the NAM in Venezuela and exchanged views with his North Korean counterpart bilateral ties between Tehran and Pyongyang.

Moushira Khattab, the Egypt's former Minister of Family and Population and the UNESCO director-general candidate, was another figure received by Zarif on Thursday. Different international issues were discussed by Zarif and Khattab in addition to the issues related to the NAM.
