TARTOUS, Sep. 05 (MNA) – Eleven civilians were killed and 45 others were injured in twin terrorist bombings in Tartous countryside on Monday.

A source at Tartous Police Command announced that twin terrorist bombings took place near Arazona Bridge on the international highway in Tartous countryside, claiming the lives of 11 civilians and injuring 45 others.

Tartus, the capital of the Syrian province of the same name, has remained almost completely under government control since the onset of the conflict. As such, it has seen a large influx of internally displaced refugees escaping other regions which have been directly exposed to the ongoing struggle with terrorists.
