TEHRAN, Aug. 31 (MNA) – Keyvan Karimi's feature film 'Drum' will be screened at the competition section of the Critic’s Week in 73rd Venice International Film Festival as the representative of Iranian Cinema.

The showtimes of 'Drum', Keyvan Karimi's debut feature film, was confirmed for the competition section of the Critic’s Week in 73rd Venice International Film Festival in Italy. In its international premiere, the film will be screened as the representative of Iranian cinema in its Press Screening to the reporters, journalists and film critics in the world in the cinema hall no.2 “Sala Pera”, at 19:30 on Saturday September 3 in Venice, Italy.

'Drum' will also be screened on Sunday 4th September at 14:15 in the cinema hall no.1 “Sala Pera” in its main and official screening in the competition section of the Critic’s Week in Venice Film Festival. The last screening is at 9 am Monday 5th September at the cinema hall no.1 “Sala Pera” and the film will compete with other films from different countries for taking this section’s award.

The 73rd Venice International Film Festival will be held with the works of the directors from different countries in several sections, including the competition sections of the “Official Selection”, the “Horizons”, the “Critic’s Week”, the “Venice Days”, out of the competition, special appreciation of “Abbas Kiarostami” due to his cinematic and artistic lifetime achievement, the “Tributes Section”, the “New Italian Cinema” , “Orizzonti” section with the new orientations in the world of the Cinema, “Film Market” and several other parts.

The Festival will begin on 31 August and run through September 10, 2016, in Venice, Italy.
