TEHRAN, Aug. 31 (MNA) – Iranian Labor Minister Rabiei has called for establishment of a regional training and studies center in collaboration with International Social Security Association (ISSA).

Iranian Minister of Cooperative, Labor and Social Welfare Ali Rabiei made the proposal with the visiting ASSA Secretary General Hans-Horst Konkolewsky.

The Iranian official added that these centers can be created under direct supervision of the ISSA South Asian regional experts voicing Iran’s readiness to offer full cooperation in this regard.

Rabiei emphasized the importance of regional studies saying “undoubtedly, these projects can better develop if ISSA provides necessary support for them.”

He highlighted that much of Iran’s economy resides in national funds maintaining “excellent capacities exist in these funds which will hopefully further increase by exchanging views with ISSA.”

“We have successfully tackled the crisis in Iran’s national retirement fund by taking effective measures,” noted labor minister stating “the ongoing violence and inequality in regional countries while achieving relative prosperity and social security in these states seems to be a long way away.”
