TEHRAN, Jul. 30 (MNA) – Development of scientific and international relations between Iran's Yazd University and Sapienza University of Italy was discussed at a joint meeting in Rome.

Member of School of Art & Architecture Department of Education Architecture Faculty at Yazd University Mohsen Abbasi introduced capabilities of the Iranian university at the session voicing readiness for improvement of scientific and cultural ties with Italian counterparts in line with educational and research objectives.

The meeting outlined the vision, mutual goals as well as fields of education and joint research between the two sides and it was decided to finalize the text of an agreement to be inked by deans of the two universities as soon as possible.

The two sides also expressed readiness to receive each other’s delegations at the beginning of the coming educational year.

Upon establishment of areas of cooperation at the joint session, it was decided that the bilateral cooperation document, which had been prepared by the International and Scientific Cooperation Office of Yazd University and sent to Sapienza University of Rome, be inked by deans and heads of faculties of the two universities in September.

Founded in 1976, Yazd University is an Iranian university in the city of Yazd in Yazd Province while Sapienza University of Rome, also called the 'University of Rome', is a collegiate research university located in Rome, Italy.
