According to Astan News, a group of American Shias who were all guests of the al-Mustafa International University visited the Razavi Holy Shrine in Mashhad. The group also attended the special programs of Astan Quds Razavi's management of non-Iranian pilgrims at the Ghadir Portico.
Noting that this is her second visit to the shrine, Maryam Raeis, one of the American pilgrims, said, “I am very happy that Allah has given me another chance to visit the Razavi Shrine so that I can comprehend the greatness of Imam Reza's (A.S.) pilgrimage during my youth.”
Maryam stressed that she would make the best of this opportunity, adding “many people in the world, including my mother and my friends in the United States, have dreams of one day visiting the Imam Reza's Holy Shrine. However, they have not been able to make the visit because they did not manage to get an Iranian visa."
“The beauty of Imam Reza's (A.S.) Shrine cannot be described. Big and various porticos, courtyards, museums, a banquet hall, and a library have multiplied the beauty of this holy place”, Raeis added.
Raeis, who was enchanted by all the valuable books inside the Central Library, maintained that “if I lived in Mashhad, I would do all my studies in this library.”
Alireza Bouzerjoumehri, an Iranian living in the US, said, “I have been living in America for 16 years now, but I grasp every opportunity for traveling to Iran and visiting Imam Reza's (A.S.) Holy Shrine.”
He stressed, “when one visits a place that hosts an illuminated grave belonging to one of the best and most faithful worshipers of God, he/she feels a real sense of tranquility and happiness.”
Introducing Astan Quds Razavi's Central Library as one of the most equipped and richest libraries of the world, the university professor said, “this scientific center should introduce its manuscripts and other books to the world via websites and cyber space so that the Muslims and researches of Islamic texts from different parts of the world can have easy access to them."
Following their visit to the Razavi Shrine, the American group visited Qur'an museum, the Central Library, as well as Ghadir and Dar al-Marhamah Porticos.
