Delivering a speech to the public in his 29th provincial tour in Kermanshah on Sunday, Iran’s Hassan Rouhani said “people of Kermanshah are great heroes of defending western borders in the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
He said Kermashah province is reminiscent of acts of chivalry taken by courageous Iranian soldiers during the Imposed War with Iraq.
President Rouhani further underlined that the country possesses both strength and weaknesses; “while enjoying rich Islamic-Iranian culture as well as a faithful and loyal nation, the country suffers from issues like unemployment, recession in addition to regional and international concerns.”
“Unfortunately, certain countries believe that power can be achieved by coup d’états unaware of the fact that ballot boxes remain as the only key to solutions faced by Turkey, Syria, Bahrain, Iraq and Yemen,” he stressed.
He pointed to existence of regimes who are after slaughtering innocent people and children; “these issues can only be addressed by Islamic unity and perseverance,” said Rouhani.
Hassan Rouhani emphasized the need to resolve unemployment inside the country by preparing grounds for business activities which will lead to economic growth and prosperity.
The Iranian president also enumerated the positive outcomes of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) which ruled out Zionists, intruders as well as the US.
Rouhani then touched upon the recent salary bill scandal saying “the incident took place as a result of loopholes in regulations against which the incumbent government has taken proper and emergency measures to be announced in coming days.”
The official emphasized that recession will be eliminated in collaboration with the nation as inflation was successfully decreased to a one-digit number.
President Hassan Rouhani deemed transparency, rule of law, collective action with the help of the people and support of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution as only solutions to ongoing concerns.
He further noted that inordinate salary bill figures pertain to only a small number of officials and the scandal should not be extended to all government bodies.
At the end of his remarks, President Rouhani said the Iranian nation has the right to take back the two billion dollars of money which has been blocked by the US; “the Iranian government will pursue the fight against corruption as a basic principle.”
