TEHRAN, Jul. 15 (MNA) – Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman condemned in the strongest terms the horrific terrorist attack on France, leaving at least 80 people dead and a hundred injured.

While expressing deep regret over the tragic terrorist act at Nice Airport of France, and extending condolences to the victims' families, Behzad Ghasemi said any negligence and dual approach to dealing with terrorism is condemned to failure.

"As we've said many times before, terrorism is an ominous phenomenon which will never be eradicated only with international cooperation," he noted.

A terrorist who used a hired lorry loaded with weapons and hand grenades killed at least 80 people who’d gathered to watch fireworks on the occasion of Bastille Day celebrations in the French resort city of Nice late Thursday. Police shot and killed the driver, the Tunisian-born 31-year-old Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel.
