TEHRAN, Jul. 10 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy Minister of Science for International Affairs Hossein Salar-Amoli said two German academic delegations are visiting Iran in September.

In order to develop Iran’s scientific cooperation with Germany this year, Salar-Amoli told Mehr News on Saturday that the deputy minister for education and research of the Federal Republic of Germany along with the heads of Max Planck Society and the German Research Foundation (DFG), will travel to Iran in September 2016.

He noted that several MoUs have been signed with world countries on different scientific, educational, research and technology fields as well as exchange of professors and students and joint research projects.

“According to a joint contract between the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), recently signed, 75 Iranian PhD students can go to the universities in Germany for a maximum period of 6 to 9 months, to spend fellowships with joint scholarships," he noted.

Study opportunities are also provided for university professors for about 3-6 months according to MoU commitments, he added.
