TEHRAN, Jun. 22 (MNA) – Iran’s Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi revealed new details about the arrest of a number of Takfiri terrorists in Tehran and several other provinces by the Ministry’s ‘Anonymous Forces’.

Mahmoud Alavi, Iran’s Minister of Intelligence, maintained that a series of arrest operations begun on June 14 and ended on June 20 where the last intelligence blows struck a group of 10 Takfiri terrorists in Tehran and three border and central provinces in the country.

“Currently, the terrorists are being interrogated and the process of intelligence and operational follow-ups are underway inside and outside of Iran simultaneously and comprehensively,” Alavi said.

“The operations planned by the terrorists included bombings and remotely detonated explosions, suicide attacks, car bombs carrying large amounts of explosives, all targeting crowded areas, which were foiled by the Ministry’s Anonymous Forces,” he explained.

Alavi went on to add, “the terrorists had marked 50 target areas for explosion, and had already prepared the explosives for some of them and were in the process of preparing and receiving other explosives for the rest of the targets.”

Alavi added that so far 100 kilograms of ready-to-explode bombs and explosive materials have been seized, and 2 tons of such materials were prevented from being delivered to the terrorists.
