Directed by Iranian acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Ebrahim Hatamikia, Bodyguard has gone on screen since last week in Melbourne and previously was showcased in Sydney, Adelaide, Canberra, Perth and Brisbane.
The first foreign premiere of Bodyguard began in Canada and in July 2th, its second display will begin in Canadian capital city, Montreal.
The movie will be also screened at three cities of the UK; accordingly Hatamikia’s feature film will be screened in London on July 2 and then in Manchester and Glasgow.
Bodyguard which was first shown in the 34th Fajr International Film Festival, is the story of a middle aged man who protects high-ranking political figures. However, he gets into trouble when a suicide bomber wearing an explosive vest approaches the vice president.
Parviz Parastoui, Merila Zarei and Babak Hamidian star in the movie which won 4 awards in Fajr Film Festival, Best actor in a leading role, Best visual effects, Best director and Best picture.
