TEHRAN, Jun. 21 (MNA) – ‘Cold Wind’ directed and produced by Abbas Raziji will experience its first international screening in Salento International Film Festival (SIFF) in Italy.

Luigi Campanile, the director of Salento International Film Festival, who recently visited Iran to hold a workshop on ‘Global Film Distribution’, selected Abbas Raziji’s ‘Cold Wind’ to be screened in the Italian festival and take part in a film market that he will take on a tour to ten other countries.

“In addition to brilliant acting and a smooth, intimate and new narration of the film, what encouraged me to globally distribute ‘Cold Wind’ was in fact a series of all the good and positive things in the cinema all brought together in one movie,” Campanile said.

Founded in 2004 by Luigi Campanile, the Salento International Film Festival emerged as a major cultural event and the top film festival in South Italy. Each year it introduces filmmakers worldwide to the Salento area's unique resources, while celebrating the history and future of the film industry with 4 days of world premieres, special events, seminars, feature films, short films, documentaries.

For the past few years SIFF has organized and run a world tour, taking the festival to international destinations like Zurich, London, Hong Kong, New York, Santiago del Cile, Moscow and San Petersburg and presenting the “Best of the Fest” event. Campanile has also expressed his interest in organizing the next edition of SIFF in Tehran.
