Asgaroladi reported on the special mission of Iranian First Vice President Es'hagh Jahangiri to reinvigorate Iran’s exports to Russia saying “attended by Deputy Vice President for Coordination and Supervision Reza Viseh, a relevant meeting last week made proper decisions the outcomes of which will become tangible in the coming ten days.”
Head of Iran-Russia Joint Chamber of Commerce went on to add that “despite the political determination of Iranian and Russian authorities to heighten level of trade transactions, the objective has not been fulfilled yet as Iran has only exported 50 million dollars of goods to Russia in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (spanning March 20 - April 20).”
“Vladimir Putin’s recent visit to Tehran has offered good achievements to the country’s trade and export sector as the tariff for entry of ten Iranian goods to Russia has reached zero,” underlined Asgaroladi maintaining “however, exporters are not able to benefit from the privilege due to structural limitations.”
He pointed to the government’s determination to escalate bilateral trade levels with Russia for which proper decisions have been made.
