RAQQA, Jun. 11 (MNA) –Army units established control over new areas in the western countryside of Raqqa after eliminating the last ISIL gatherings in the area and destroying tens of its vehicles, according to a military source.

The source added that army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, established control over al-Rasafa crossroads, the strategic triangle, the oil pumping station and al-Tabka electricity station.

The source pointed out that the army units have developed their operations on more than one axis in the area and cut off ISIL supply routes after destroying tens of heavy-equipped vehicles and killing large numbers of ISIL members.

In another related news, a source on the ground told media correspondent that the army targeted with concentrated fire gatherings of ISIL in al-Reshdiye neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city, Ayyash village in its western countryside, and the surroundings of al-Tharda Mountain in the western outskirts of the city, inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment on the terrorist organization.
