TEHRAN, Jun. 06 (MNA) – Iran’s national taekwondo team will leave Tehran for Athens Wednesday to attend a Greece international tournament.

Members of the Iranian taekwondo squad, who are preparing for 2016 Rio Summer Olympic Games, is scheduled to compete at an international tournament in Greece for the technical staff to evaluate their performance.

The sixth edition of Greece’s international tournament will convene from June 10-12 with the Iranian team comprising Farzan Ashourzadeh (-58kg), Mehdi Khodabakhshi (-80kg), Sajjad Mardani (+87kg) as well as Kimia Alizadeh (-57kg).

National taekwondo team of the country will leave Iran for Greece on Wednesday June 08 at 03:00 a.m. Tehran local time while the international sportive event will take place in senior, junior and cadet categories.

Iran will face rivals under the supervision of Bijan Moghanloo and Mehru Kamraei as head coaches of male and female teams respectively as well as Mehdi Bibak and Mehrdad Yousefi who will coach the Iranian taekwondo practitioners.
