“Minding the life quality of the common people is the major concern of my administration,” said President Hassan Rouhani of the Islamic Republic of Iran in meeting with senior cleric, Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani on Friday.
The Iranian president, on Friday, went to the Iranian holy city of Qom which is the center of religious schools and seminaries of Iran to meet with senior clerics of the city.
While Rouhani was wished success for by Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani, he said that the meetings with clerics have always been of benefit for him and his cabinet and reiterated that the occasion of service to the nation would not be missed by his administration.
“Now with the lowest oil price in record, and many other economic problems, my administration is running the country with no government debt,” Rouhani told the grand cleric.
The Iranian president also briefed the cleric on the policies and measures taken in terms of education, culture, universities, and ethics, saying that these are the areas that matter for the government.
“We are still working to counter Iranophobia project in the world, and now it has been proven to the whole world that Iran is a logical state, eager for dialogue and interaction, and against any form of terrorism and extremism,” highlighted the chief of executive branch of Iran’s ruling system.
Referring to successful and peaceful running of two elections in Iran in late February, Rouhani described the two main polls as sources of hope for the nation and voiced his determination to spread peace and security in the Middle East.
In another meeting with Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, Rouhani was asked to take a serious initiative in dealing with the high unemployment rate.
