TEHRAN, May 15 (MNA) – Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri said Iran’s detention of US marines was a blow to the US policy, since it always want to be the commander of the world.

Speaking on the sidelines of National Conference on Defense Culture among reporters, Jazayeri made remarks on the dismissal of US Navy officer who oversaw the 10 marines captured and briefly detained by Iran earlier this year.

“US is accustomed to taking any act of aggression against others and expecting obedience and silence,” he noted.

Compliance with the US is not included in the vocabulary of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Jazayeri stressed adding that the US sailors were aggressors and the Iranian IRGC forces dealt with them, but very peacefully.

It could be hostile; Jazayeri underlined, however, they got angry for the detention of their forces in Iranian coastline and the eastern side of Farsi Island.

In response to a question about the impact of martyrdom of Hezbollah's top military commander on the regional developments, Jazayeri said the trend of resistance shows that, contrary to what is imagined by enemies, especially the Zionists and the Americans, when a top leader is martyred, resistance is taken one step further.
