The Director of Tunis International Book Fair, Adel Kheder, Lebanese Ambassador to Tehran Fadi Haj Ali, and a delegation of catholic clerics were the visitors of the 29th Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) who met with the director of the event Seyyed Abbas Salehi on Friday.
“It is hoped that cultural, literary, and book-related interactions between Iran and Tunisia develop in the coming years,” said Adel Kheder referring to the importance of Tehran International Book Fair and hoping for more Tunisian publishers in the future editions of the event.
The Tunisian official recounted that the bilateral ties have always been persistent and ‘bearing in mind Iran’s bold role in all international arenas, we hope to have more interactions between the publishers of the two countries.’
Salehi, in this meeting, for his part, voiced hope for improvement of cultural ties between Tehran and Tunisia.
“This fair provides an opportunity for both Iran and Lebanon to bolster cultural activities in areas of prime importance like book,” said the Lebanese Ambassador to Tehran, Fadi Haj Ali, in his meeting with Salehi, on the sideline of his visit to TIBF.
Also a delegation of catholic clerics met with Salehi on the sidelines of the current edition of Tehran International Book Fair which is held at Shahr-e-Aftab (a new fairground complex at the southern outskirt of Tehran near the shrine of the late leader of the Islamic Revolution of 1979, Imam Khomeini). The clerics were from France, Kenya, Australia, Germany, and Vatican.
