TEHRAN, Apr. 25 (MNA) – Canadian plane maker Bombardier Inc. is reportedly discussing the establishment of its own airline in the south of Iran.

Canada’s aviation giant Bombardier announced plans to launch an airline in coastal city of Qeshm, Hormozgan province, saying it sees a bright outlook for investment in the Iranian market.

Canadian Plane Maker Company asked for the willing countries to participate in the project, a groundbreaking move that could help boost air trips between Iran and Northern America.

Officials from Iran’s Qeshm Free Trade Zone had recently met Pierre Beaudoin, executive chairman of Bombardier’s board, on a project to set up an airline in the southern Qeshm Island, which is going to happen within the next two month.

Iran has already signed a deal worth $27 billion with Airbus to purchase 118 new planes. It has also conducted advanced trade talks with Boeing.

Canada said in February it was lifting some sanctions against Iran, allowing Bombardier to compete against planemakers Boeing Co and Airbus Group SE.

A delegation from Boeing visited Iran earlier in April to discuss sales of jetliners, while its European rival, Airbus, agreed in January to sell Iran 118 planes worth about $27 billion at list prices.
