TEHRAN, Apr. 20 (MNA) – A delegation of the Iranian parliament arrived in Turkey on Tuesday night to hold meetings parliamentary ties with their counterparts and other high-ranking Turkish officials.

The delegation, headed by the Chairman of the Legal and Judicial Committee of Iran's Parliament Allahyar Malekshahi, was welcomed by Iranian Ambassador to Ankara Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian Fard and Embassy staff, at Ankara Airport.

The Parliamentary men are scheduled to hold talks with Turkish counterparts on Wednesday in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

Ahead of the talks, the Iranian lawmakers discussed the latest situation on parliamentary cooperation and issues on the agenda in a meeting at the Iranian Embassy in Ankara.

Seyed Hamid Reza Tabatabaei, Mir Hadi Ghare Seyed, Ali Jalili, Hashem Ahangari are the other members of the delegation who accompany Malekshahi during the trip.

Both Iran and Turkey have broadened their relations in various fields of economy, security, trade, education, energy and culture in recent years.

The two sides have exchanged several politico-economic delegations during the last few months.
