TEHARN, Apr. 14 (MNA) – The 13th Summit of Organization of Islamic Cooperation was launched in Istanbul on Thursday.

President Hassan Rouhani is attending the session, the focus of which would be on fight against terrorism and extremism.

“I hope the Istanbul Summit to be helpful for settling down the tensions and strengthening the unity among Islamic countries,” said Rouhani on his departure at Mehrabad Airport on Wednesday.

He noted, “Islamic unity, decreasing the differences and the most important of all, supporting the Palestine are the top issues concerning OIC.”

“A world without violence and extremism has always been Islamic Republic’s foreign policy agenda and Iran is ready for full-out cooperation in this regard,” added Rouhani, underlining that terrorism and extremism could be resolved by cooperation.
