Schmidt will hold economic and political negotiations with the Iranian officials during his two-day visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the German Embassy in Tehran announced.
Accompanied by a high ranking agriculture delegation, German minister seeks broadening economic cooperation mainly after removal of economic sanctions against Iran and sound implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
The German delegation is scheduled to meet with Iranian officials, including Iran's Minister of Agriculture Mahmoud Hojjati and member of Iran's Chamber of Commerce Mohsen Jalalipour to discuss issues of mutual interest.
