TEHRAN, Apr. 08 (MNA) – An official of Iran’s National Petrochemical Company announced that a delegation from Total S.A. Company will arrive in Tehran in late April to finalize the agreements made in early March for constructing a joint Pet-Chem plant. 

A delegation from Total S.A. Company will visit Tehran in late April to finalize drafting a contract of building a petrochemical plant in Iran, said Amir Hossein Fallah, Director of Investment Development in the National Petrochemical Company of Iran.

According to the official the visit is a follow-up to the agreement made in early March in Tehran between the National Petrochemical Company of Iran and the Total S.A. Company in order to build a petrochemical plant shared by Total and Iranian private sector.

According to the agreement, Total is responsible for conducting the preliminary surveys, in line with the laws and regulations of the Islamic Republic of Iran, before erecting the plant.

A steam cracker unit fed by ethane, naphtha, LPG, and other liquid feeders is devised in the plant along with units for downstream products.
