TEHRAN, Apr. 07 (MNA) – A high ranking Iranian delegation headed by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi arrived in Ankara late on Wednesday.  

A senior delegation of Iranian officials headed by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi arrived in Turkish capital city of Ankara late on Wednesday and was welcomed by officials of Turkey’s Ministry of Development and Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian the embassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkey.

The Iranian minister is accompanied by officials from different organizations and ministries of Iran including deputy minister of roads and urban development along with deputy head of the cultural heritage, handicrafts, and tourism organization of Iran.

Vaezi who co-chairs Joint Iran-Turkey Economic, Commercial and Cultural Commission is to convene the 25th commission slated for April 7-9.

Upon the arrival of Iranian delegation to Ankara, Turkey’s Ministry of Development issued a statement that the Turkish chamber to attend the commission will be headed by Minister of Development Cevdet Yılmaz.

According to the agenda announced Vaezi will have bilateral meetings with Turkey’s Minister of Economy Mustafa Elitaş, Minister of Customs and Trade Bülent Tüfenkci, and Minister of Transport and Communication Binali Yıldırım in addition to Cevdet Yılmaz.

The last edition of the Joint Iran-Turkey Economic, Commercial and Cultural Commission was held last year in Tehran.
