TEHRAN, Mar. 14 (MNA) – EU foreign affairs head Federica Mogherini said Monday she will visit Iran next month to build on a deal she helped negotiate to end nuclear sanctions against Tehran.

"My next visit will take place on the 16th of April," Sputnik reported as she said in her way towards a meeting of EU foreign ministers on Monday.

Mogherini underlined, "We will discuss with the ministers on which grounds, on which issues and sectors to re-engage so as to reopen full relations" with Iran.

"Together with many other commissioners we will discuss on which grounds and in which issues and sectors to reengage, to reopen full relations and explore ways to cooperate with Iran bilaterally," Mogherini told reporters ahead of the EU Foreign Affairs council.

Mogherini last visited Iran in July shortly after world states agreed to lift illegal sanctions in return for Tehran to curb its nuclear program.
