ALEPPO, Mar. 05 (MNA) – Director General of Aleppo Power Company Abdelilah Talalini said that electric power began returning gradually to Aleppo on Saturday evening following an outage that lasted more than 4 months.

Talalini said that the efforts of the technical staff at the Electricity Ministry have resulted in repairing one of the lines that feed Aleppo province, and that work is underway to ensure justice in distributing the power being supplied to residential neighborhoods.

Armed terrorist organizations had targeted all power lines that supply electricity to Aleppo province, leading to a total power blackout in the province since October 25th 2015. The power was restored for 15 hours back in January 4th 2016 before terrorists attacked power lines again, causing the outage to continue up until this date.
