TEHRAN, Mar. 01 (MNA) – Iran’s deputy FM has emphasized that Iran supports the idea of all-embracing national talks in Yemen.

Head of Middle East and North Africa Division of Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Wolfgang Bruelhart met with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian discussing the latest developments in the region particularly in Syria and Yemen.

Switzerland’s Wolfgang Bruelhart evaluated the visit of the Swiss president to Iran as constructive reiterating, “we are eager to expand ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran over regional issues.”

Iranian deputy foreign minister pointed to Switzerland’s continuous cooperation in regional issues especially humanitarian affairs; “if countries follow the trend of terrorism confrontation and ceasefire with serious determination, Syria’s developments will remain on the right track while a better prospect for dialogue and political settlement would be provided after the ceasefire.”

Amir-Abdollahian emphasized the need to stop the war and deploy humanitarian aids to Yemen concluding “the Islamic Republic of Iran encourages the notion of all-inclusive national discourse in Yemen.”
