TEHRAN, Feb. 22 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Bogdanov discussed the latest developments in Syria.

In a phone conversation on Monday, the two sides stressed the need to resolve the Syrian crisis through political ways.

Meantime, Iran and Russia reiterated the establishment of a ceasefire and dispatch of humanitarian aid to all regions except for those where terrorists are present.

They underlined the resumption of dialogue between Syrian opposition groups and the Syrian government, with the focus on political solution, is the top priority for both countries to resolve the ongoing crisis in Syria.

Bogdanov will pay an official visit to Tehran in near future to continue consultations and discussions on regional issues, upon an invitation from his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
