TEHRAN, Jan. 19 (MNA) – All Iranian vessels were taken out from OFAC's list as part of an ongoing internal revision about old sanction cases imposed on Iran.

The official website of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury announced “all ships belonging to maritime fleet of the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) have been taken away from the eight-year-old sanctions list.”

Accordingly, all managers, entities, vessels and persons of IRISL were removed from OFAC's list.

IRISL and its subsidiaries had been put on OFAC’s list since September 2008.

Moreover, OFAC had issued and imposed 13 sanctions against IRISL which covered a total of 132 companies and 16 executives of the Iranian marine fleet.
