According to the Public Relations Department of Mustafa (PBUH) Prize, due to the extension of the registration of the contest, the winners and selected films will be announced April 22, 2016 and the closing ceremony will take place afterwards.
The competition will be held by participation of students from across the country. It aims to familiarize the students with optic sciences, light and its applications.
Due to the outstanding participation of students, the registration for the competition was extended to February 11, 2016, concurrent with the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
The awards of the Ibn al-Haytham Film Contest has been increased from 100 Bahar Azadi Coins to 200 and the number of winners has been increased from 100 to 200. Top 10 schools and research centers, based on the arbitration will receive about $27,000 grants to equip their laboratories. More than 10,000 students in groups of two or three have registered in this contest.
It is worth noting that one-minute films of the students with the subject of optic sciences, light and its application should be made in groups of two or three and be sent to the secretariat of the contest.
