TEHRAN, Jan. 10 (MNA) – Pre-registration stage has begun for the 21st Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exhibition, Iran Oil Show 2016, which is to take place on May 5-8, 2016 in Tehran, Iran.

Sohrab Azimikhah, Head of Exhibition Affairs at NIOC, said the pre-registration for Tehran’s oil exhibition will continue until the January 13; “after the current stage with completion of the evaluation procedures as well as analysis of registration information for companies, the final registration phase will begin in mid-February.

Azimikhah noted that the 21st edition of the exhibition will focus on investment attraction as well as technology transfer in oil industry and will be held in Tehran on May 5-8, 2016.

“Considering the possibility of sanctions removal, it has been estimated that prominent oil and gas companies will attend Iran Oil Show 2016,” he underlined.

The official pointed out the willingness of world’s oil giants to participate at the exposition adding “the upcoming event will be held enjoying significant changes and features compared to previous periods.”

“Currently, the Islamic Republic of Iran possesses huge oil and gas reserves being a great asset in attracting foreign investment,” emphasized the official asserting “consequently, regular holding of exhibitions marks the best opportunity to attract valid and competent investors.”

He went on to add that “for the first time in the history of Iran Oil Show, we have planned to arrange and organize halls and pavilions on the basis of specialty and the activities of participating firms providing the possibility of time management for the visitors.”

Referring to the inauguration of new investment opportunities in the upstream sector of the country’s oil industry on the verge of sanctions removal, Azimikhah maintained “the 21st series of the exhibition offers domestic and foreign investors abundant time for better introduction of these opportunities.”

So far, several contracts have been signed with foreign marketing firms in China, South Korea, Germany, Britain, Turkey, Greece, etc. to attract more prominent oil companies to Iranian petrochemical annual exhibition.

There would also be some lateral events such as conferences, seminars and workshops to introduce and promote latest achievements and provide a proper context for their appraisal.

Organized by Iran’s Oil Ministry, the 21st International Exhibition of Oil, Gas, Refining & Petrochemical will convene in Tehran Permanent Fair Ground on Friday May 6, 2016 and will wrap up on Monday May 9, 2016.
