“Mitsubishi possesses a long history of collaboration with Iran in various areas and with several private sector firms,” said Director General of Mitsubishi‘s department in charge of petrochemical affairs Heideki Konishi.
Konishi stated that Japan’s Mitsubishi uses the potential and dynamism of petrochemical industry as a basis for cooperation expressing hope that his company will play a significant role in promoting the industry which enjoys a clear global perspective.
The Japanese official further enumerated Mitsubishi’s areas of activity including energy, metals, machinery, transport as well as manufacturing industry on a global level far beyond the traditional framework envisaged by the company.
“Mitsubishi is presently active in 90 world countries in a wide range of activities from natural resources to small-scale industries, recruiting a workforce of 65,000 from different nationalities,” he maintained.
“Iran’s economic specifications in terms of human and natural resources make it different from any of its competitors,” he stressed.
Konishi emphasized the expertise and commitment of Iranian workforce adding “no development can be imagined without such criteria.”
The Mitsubishi official said the company holds long-term prospects and seeks to shape long-lasting markets.
