The executive deputy of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) and head of the executive headquarters of the 29th International Islamic Unity Conference Mohammad Reza Golro said that the Unity Conference will be held Dec. 27, 28 and 29 in which the challenges of the world of Islam, crisis-creating factors and related solutions will be reviewed.
The previous editions of the conference were based on juridical issues and the guests were religious scholars but this year, development of science and technology in Islamic countries is on the agenda as well, he added.
He added that the phrase ‘Poor rich’ is a title which can be given to many Islamic states most of which fail to use rich spiritual and material resources properly despite possessing them.
Talking about the 1st Summit of Islamic Countries’ Technology and Science which will be held on the sidelines of the International Islamic Unity Conference, he said: “Supported by Iran’s Agriculture Bank, the summit will be held Dec 27 and a fair of Iran’s technologies will be held concurrently as well.”
He also added that five specialized commissions will be held on export development, agriculture and food industry, research and progress, Islamic brand as well as air and space.
Moreover the managing director of Iran’s Agriculture Bank Morteza Shahidzade said: “In order to expand international ties, cooperating with Islamic countries is on our agenda. Moreover a center for supporting agriculture modern technologies, is supposed to be established in the bank which will be supported by the Agriculture Bank and the cooperation of WFPIST and secretariat of Islamic countries’ science and technology development."
