TEHRAN, Dec. 19 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy FM for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian while noting there is no place for terrorists in Syria talks, said, "Iran will continue its support for Syrian people to decide for the end of political process in their country."

"The third round of international negotiations aimed at resolving the Syrian crisis at New York's Palace Hotel revolved around fundamental difference in determining instances of terrorist groups," said Iranian diplomat at the end of the meeting on Friday.

He noted that Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif who heads the Iranian delegation in New York prevented the list of terrorist groups subject to approval with logical reasoning and at the end, all sides agreed to form a working group consisting of Iran, Russia, Oman, Egypt, Turkey, Jordan and France to adjust the list and submit it to the United Nations.

Pointing to the resolution adopted by the Security Council, Amir-Abdollahian said Tehran supports the halt in conflicts, serious fight against terrorism, the beginning of the political process and aid to Syrian refugees to return to their country.

Meanwhile, Tehran along with Moscow, and a number of countries participating in Syria talks believes the settlement of the crisis in Syria is only possible through a political approach and that only the Syrian people can decide the future of their country, he added.

The one-day gathering kicked off on Friday with foreign ministers from 17 countries, including Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the US participating the meeting.
