TEHRAN, Dec. 15 (MNA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker said the spread of terrorism has led to a mess in the region preparing the ground for enemies of Islam to take advantage of the differences.

During a meeting with the Head of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation at Indonesian House of Representatives Mustofa Ali Assegaf and his accompanying delegation on Monday, Larijani described political bilateral ties between the two countries at a good level and called for further work to help know the true capacities as far as their economic ties are concerned.

Larijani also underlined the need for the expansion of commercial relations which is an important project for both Iran and Indonesia and in this connection, facilitation of banking affairs is a priority.

Pointing to the current crises in the region, Parliament speaker criticized the spread of terrorism which has led to conditions paving the way for enemies of Islam to look for opportunities to take advantage of differences in their own favor.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed to the moto of Imam Khomeini (RA) on the eve of Islamic Revolution's victory, which was "Islamic unity", and he stressed that it will remain as a sustainable strategy of the Islamic Republic.

He warned "the Zionist regime is seeking to provoke Muslims by exerting pressure on people in the West Bank and threatening the future of al-Aqsa Mosque."

Mustofa Ali Assegaf, for his part, said Indonesia prioritizes enhancing ties with Iran and highly regards it as an influential country in the region.

He then pointed to the agenda of his delegation's visit to Tehran, including upgrading the level of commercial cooperation through talks with the country's officials.

"Indonesia needs Iran's experience in construction of refinery, gas platforms and dam," Assegaf said expressing hope to reach agreements in the field.

Indonesian official pointed to the commonalities between the two countries and urged cooperation relying on common points in political and commercial fields.

He hoped for the best holding of parliamentary elections in Iran.
