Military approach toward Yemeni crisis has been from the very beginning condemned by the Islamic Republic of Iran, said Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran’s deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs on Thursday speaking to The United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed by phone.
The Iranian diplomat also thanked the UN and the endeavors of Mr. Ahmed for trying to solve the case of Yemeni mayhem, describing Ahmed’s role constructive.
Tehran will preserve its measures to encourage Yemeni-Yemeni dialogues, reasserted the Iranian deputy foreign minister while urging ceasefire.
He noted that it would be a positive step to halt Saudi bombardments from the beginning of the talks in Geneva and necessitated that attacks and humanitarian siege should be ended.
The UN envoy for his part voiced hope for stop of Saudi strikes and start of peace talks in Geneva.
Greeting the Islamic Republic of Iran for all toils to wrap up the crisis in the Arab war-torn country and called for constructive role of all parties involved.
