TEHRAN, Dec. 08 (MNA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on Monday underlined expansion of Iran-Ireland diplomatic and economic relations.

"Iran-Ireland political and economic ties are of high significance; there are suitable opportunities available for investment in Iran including agricultural and industrial sectors," Larijani said in a meeting with Irish non-resident Ambassador to Iran Brendan Ward.

Irish official, Brendan Ward, also underlined Iran's role in the fight against terrorism and said that relations between Iran and Ireland has increasingly improved.

In January, a big economic delegation will travel to Iran and now an aviation delegation is present in Iran, he added.

Ward said that Irish minister of agriculture will soon visit Iran and hold meetings with Iranian counterpart seeking bilateral cooperation.
