Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for African-American Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian dubbed the entry of Turkish military forces into Iraq’s territory as an incorrect movement.
“In order to help fight against terrorists, all countries need to act in coordination with the government of Iraq obtaining necessary permissions,” Amir-Abdollahian told IRIB.
He further noted that similar measures carried out without coordination with the Iraqi government are contrary to the security of the region.
The Iranian deputy foreign minister emphasized “such behavior will not help to suppress terrorism and leads to chaos and exacerbation of insecurity in the region.”
“No doubt, all parties will benefit from coordinated campaign against terrorism as well as regional security,” he concluded.
