Addressing the forerunners of Resistence Economy conference, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari deemed Resistence Economy as one major issue pursued by Iranian Basij (volunteer) Force adding "due to economic threats posed by the enemy, Iran's Basij has put the Resistance Economy on the agenda over the past few years."
"Economy will not reach its ultimate and desirable outcome without the will, determination, support and cooperation of the government," stressed the commander.
IRGC commander said economy exactly like security is a need for society and being the defendants of the values of the Revolution and the people, Basij and IRGC need to have active participation in all areas while all organizations can take advantage of them in return.
"Some believe that enemies might stop affecting the Islamic Revolution," noted Brig. Gen. Jafari stressing "they would never change their objective because the purposes of the Islamic Revolution are in conflict with the interests of the enemy."
He continued "as long as the Islamic Revolution exists, the US will oppose it unless US changes its nature by stopping tyranny and oppression."
Pointing to the Leader's remarks on enemy's infiltration, Jafari said "today, the enemy has changed its approach and we need to realize their soft and complex procedures for changing the behavior and goals of the Islamic Revolution.
Brig. Gen. Jafari further called for perfection in the domestic arena in various social, political and economic aspects adding "the existing problems will be resolved by the resistance spirit held by Basij.
Jafari expressed hope that all Iranian authorities will take up the resistive approach in economic, political and cultural areas in order to fight against enemies.
In response to a question about the practicality of Russia's cooperation with Iran to combat terrorism, IRGC commander said, "Russia seems to be the first regional power who has realized the threats of Takfiri groups and the ISIL."
"All countries who are alarmed about the terrorist flow have had a role in its development and now are determined to fight it like European countries including France which is fighting terrorist groups," he added.
The commander further asserted, "European countries once thought they had created a threat for the countries in our region but today the threat has turned back to their own side making them determined to fight the ISIL."
"The Russian government realized the danger of terrorism ahead of European countries and now a coalition is being formed among all countries exposed to danger," noted IRGC commander.
In response to another question about ISIL's threatening Iran with bombs and terrorist acts, Jafari said that ISIL had been seeking to sow insecurity for a long time, but we thwarted thank to information coming from intelligence agencies and the public.
"Terrorist groups possess several support network one of which was dealt with in the West of Iran and the others will be tackled in due time," he concluded.
