Iran has always put emphasis on UN’s part and credit in finding a political solution in Yemen, said Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iranian Foreign Minister in his meeting with the visiting UN Special Envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, on Wednesday, in Tehran.
The Iranian chief of diplomacy also urged for participation of all Yemeni sides in the upcoming dialogues of Geneva.
Ahmed for his part briefed the Iranian minister about the latest developments in Yemen and the political process of resolution during the meeting.
He called for participation and flexibility of all parts in talks and described Iran’s role in the events constructive and helpful.
Iran’s foreign minister stressed on Tehran's principle stance on immediate establishment of ceasefire and success of the political process and urged for halt of war.

The UN envoy arrived in Tehran on Wednesday to discuss the latest measures prior to the second round of inter-Yemeni negotiations to be held in Geneva.
