TEHRAN, Oct. 26 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif asked the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to help Iran for better implementation of population policies in the country.

During a meeting with Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Maha El-Adawy here on Sunday, Zarif pointed to the new policies adopted by Tehran to encourage population growth, urging the UNFPA to assist Iran in advancing its goals.

Pointing to Iran's decision to implement the policy at the right time, El-Adawy, for her part, said the UN fund is prepared to provide Iran with necessary help to that end.

She also expressed the hope that mutual cooperation will enhance in future.
