ANKARA, Oct. 20 (MNA) –Turkish Prime Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, rejected the possibility of turning his country in a concentration camp for refugees, when commenting the offers of the European Union (EU) to contain the migration flow.

No way can we accept be turned into a kind of concentration camp to quiet the EU, which demands that we retain refugees in our territory, declared Davuloglu to the capitals TV station.

The head of the Government affirmed his country cannot receive the refugees permanently, in Exchange for the financial help that the commuInity bloc offers Ankara to handle the attention of the displayed people, mostly Syrians.

Some two million 200 thousand Syrians concentrate in camps where conditions were created for a longer stay and the possibility of sending children to Turkish schools.

But the money from international organizations to help feed and other needs of the immigrants was reduced in the last times, which together with the rise of conflict in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, led to the massive exodus to Europe.

Until now, Turkey succeeded in containing most of the refugees passing to Greece or Bulgaria, whose authorities built a wall to prevent crossing of aliens.

However, over 300 thousand undocumented arrived in Greece this year through the Aegean Sea.

We don’t accept proposals such as give us the money and they can stay in Turkey, said Davutoglu, one day after the visit of Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel to this nation, indicated the digital version of daily Hurriyet Daily News.

The Prime Minister rejected versions that the government of the Party of Justice and Development and the president Recep Tayyip Erdogan wish to extract political dividends from Merkel’s visit, near the advanced elections of next November 1st.

But Davutoglu considered positive the advance in talks regarding the possibility of abolishing the Schengen visa for Turkish nationals, which could be enacted in July, 2016. Next January, we will have something concrete, he said.

An agreement approved last week between the 28 member states of the EU supported a financial aid to Turkey to take care of refugees in that nation and reinforce the sea patrolling, in Exchange for making procedures easier to the Turkish entrance to the EU bloc.

The EU must do first her part of the pact, as in other occasions, Turkey complied with what it promised and the bloc did not do its part, he commented.
