TEHRAN, Oct. 11 (MNA) – Iran’s deaf soccer players maintained superiority and won the title of the eighth edition of the Asia Pacific Deaf Games in Taiwan.

The Iranian sportsmen, in Sunday match against Japan, exhibited spectacular skill throughout the game, and defeated the rival 5-3.

The match was tied 1-1 after the regulation time and Iranian team beat the opponent on penalties.

On Tuesday, the Iranian sportsmen also showed athletic skills and earned a well-deserved 11-1 win against Kazakhstan.

The hearing-impaired Iranian footballers beat the Australian team 5-0 in their opening fixture on October 2, and trounced Japan 4-0 in their next showdown two days later.

The 8th edition of the Asia Pacific Deaf Games opened in Taoyuan, Taiwan, on October 3 and wrapped up on October 11, 2015.
