LONDON, Oct. 08 (MNA) – Amid a humanitarian crisis, with more than one and a half million refugees, the European Union (EU) is getting g ready to deport 400,000 immigrants, whose asylum application was rejected, the media in this capital revealed on Wednesday.

The EU top officials are coordinating a secret stipulation to detain the mentioned number of foreigners that arrived this year in Europe, to prevent them from escaping before being sent to their countries of origin, said the newspaper The Times.

The issue will be analyzed in a meeting of Interior ministers of the European community and the measures include restrictions in terms of economic support, trade alliance and visa granting to countries that refuse to accept those repatriated.

The publication referred, specifically, to the cases of Niger and Eritrea, from where thousands of people departed this year, trying to escape from poverty in those States and seeking better living conditions in Europe, after risking their lives, crossing the Mediterranean Sea.
