TEHRAN, Oct. 08 (MNA) - Iran’s minister of economic affairs and governor of the Central Bank of Iran have left for Peru to attend the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.

Ali Tayebnia and Valiollah Seif have left Tehran for the Peruvian capital Lima. The Iranian minister, during his stay, will meet with several economic and financial officials from different countries including the head of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), as well as Finance ministers of South Korea, China, Japan, Italy, Britain as well as World Bank Middle East officials.

He is supposed to attend the meeting of the economic outlook for the Middle East and North Africa.

The Iranian minister is accompanied by Mohammad Khazaei, Head of Iran's Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance (OIETAI), and Deputy Minister of Economy Shapour Mohammadi.

The World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund will kick off Friday morning, Oct. 9, and will wrap on October 11.

The annual meeting is an opportunity for the representatives of different financial institutes. The Iranian officials are planned to hold separate meetings with the heads of Germany, France, India, Italy, Afghanistan and UAE’s central banks as well.
