BRUSSELS, Sep. 25 (MNA) – In line with Hungary’s policy of building fences, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, proposed on Thursday to the European Union (EU) the building of a wall to retain thousands of Syrian, Iraqis and Afghans refugees.

Davutoglu stated in a letter sent to EU leaders that his country is willing to create a buffer or a safety zone on its border with Syria to curb the potential crossing of about seven million refugees in the near future.

That flood of people will try then to move to Europe, says the text of the letter, according to EU sources.

In exchange for this cooperation, the Turkish head of interim government proposes to reduce the requirements in obtaining visas for its citizens to travel to the EU.

But France, United, Kingdom and Germany are opposed to such a proposal of a nation immersed for half a century in joining the EU.
